MAHLE Engine Systems UK are currently working with the School of Engineering and Built Environment at Glasgow Caledonian University on applications of surface characterisation and metallurgy knowledge to identify factors influencing integrity of bimetallic strip bond delamination, creating a centre of excellence within the Group. They are also looking at the development of testing and process monitoring tools, techniques and procedures for the assesment of bimetallic strip bond integrity and monitoring of critical process parameters.

This project is ongoing and being supported by the West of Scotland KTP Centre.
