Community Energy Scotland is an independent Scottish charity providing practical help for communities on green energy development.They are currently working with the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde on the application of Smart Grid Solutions and demand management to enhance communities' ability to maximise efficient use of renewably produced energy.

Smarter Grid Solutions provides innovative smart grid control systems and power systems consultancy for power companies. They are currently working with the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde to embed new testing techniques in support of ongoing product development and sales into the rapidly expanding Smart Grid marketplace.

Cartwright Pickard Architects was founded in 1996 by Peter Cartwright and James Pickard. The team’s experience includes innovative residential projects, educational buildings, award winning workplace buildings, master planning of major mixed use urban developments and major headquarter office buildings. They are currently working with the Mackintosh Environmental Architecture Research Unit at the Glasgow School of Art to develop and embed the capability to undertake detailed performance evaluation in sustainable, low energy housing and utilise findings to influence future architectural design.
